Anti-slip plywood in industrial applications: how to choose the right surface
September 25 , 2026
In platforms, vehicles, scaffolding or industrial spaces, the floor is subject to constant use and, in many cases, to moisture, impacts and heavy loads. Therefore, choosing a panel capable of offering mechanical strength and a good level of grip is important to ensure the durability and safety of the installation.
Anti-slip plywood combines a structure of wood veneers bonded in cross-laminated layers with a surface coating that improves grip. A versatile solution for applications where the flooring needs to withstand demanding use.
What does anti-slip plywood offer?
Its structure and finish make it particularly suitable for surfaces subject to wear and frequent traffic.
- Mechanical strength: the cross-laminated arrangement of the veneers provides stability and load-bearing capacity.
- Moisture resistance: options with WBP or phenolic bonding are designed for applications exposed to demanding conditions.
- Low emissions in enclosed spaces: it complies with the strict E0 / E0.5 low-emission classification, making it suitable for enclosed environments.
- Durability: the coating protects the surface against wear and makes maintenance easier.
Hexaply or Wiremesh: two surfaces for different applications
Within the HTPLY Anti Slip Plywood family, we offer two Surface options: Hexaply and Wiremesh.
Hexagonal pattern (HTPLY Hexaply)
The hexagonal finish provides a textured surface that combines grip and wear resistance. Its design makes it suitable for applications such as vehicle floors, platforms, stages, grandstands or technical furniture.

Mesh pattern (HTPLY Wiremesh)
The Wiremesh finish features a mesh pattern designed for applications requiring a higher level of slip resistance.
Due to its characteristics, it is particularly suitable for scaffolding, work platforms, truck floors, trailers and other industrial surfaces subject to demanding use.

Different thicknesses and compositions
The HTPLY anti-slip plywood range is available in thicknesses from 9 to 30 mm, with different core configurations depending on the product.
This allows the panel to be adapted to the requirements of each application, taking into account factors such as load, intended use and installation conditions.
In addition, the panels are available in 2440 × 1220 mm and 2500 × 1250 mm formats, with other dimensions available upon request.
